Humans are adults, or animals is a creature that has developed in all its potential. The human world of adult refers to legal and social concepts. In contrast to a non-adult or "minor" an legal adult is at the point of majority, and therefore is considered to be independent, self-sufficient, and responsible. It is possible to refer to them as a "major". The age when a child turns an adult legally is 18 years old, however the definition of legal maturity may differ based on the legal or country system, as well as the state of their mental health.
