A person who is an adult can be described as a human being or any other animal that is at full growth.The biological meaning of the term is animals that have reached sexual maturity, and therefore capable of reproduction. Within the human realm, adult is a reference to the social and legal aspects. In contrast to a non-adult or "minor", a legal adult is a person who has attained the age of majority and is therefore considered to be an independent, self-sufficient person and responsible. They are also known as a "major". The point at which a person becomes an adult legally is 18 years old, however the definition of"legal maturity" may differ based on the legal or country system in place, and also their psychological state.
